Lean on Me
Talk about a friend. Describe that person. Tell me about a time you helped your friend or your friend helped you.
Rain on me
In this song, "on" is a preposition that shows where the rain falls. Practice prepositions.
Do you like rain? My daughter likes to walk in the rain. I don't like to walk in the rain, but I like to eat. If there's no rain for a long time, there's no fresh food.
Did you ever lose power in a storm? What did you do? What do you usually do when it rains?
Happy Autumn!
Activity: Put Autumn vocabulary words in alphabetical (ABC) order
Unscramble (change the letter order to make)the Autumn Vocabulary words (same ones you put in ABC order)
What's your favorite season? Why? My husband's favorite season is Fall because he likes to go hiking and camping. Do you like hiking or camping? Tell me about it!

Compound Modifiers
In English, description words are singular even when it's really crazy for them to be singular. Compound modifiers feel really wrong. When you put the description before the thing you describe, keep it singular even when there's a number.
I have a four-door car a three-story house, a three-day weekend, and a 24-year old daughter.
That means my house has four doors. My house has three stories. I'll be off on Monday, so the weekend will have three days. My daughter is 25 years old. Use the s (plural form) after the verb. Don't use the s with nouns that describe a following noun.
Can you write some examples of compound modifier (with numbers-singular noun)? A description word that's crazy to be singular because it's more than one? (I'm sitting next to an 88-key piano.)
What's the best number of days for a trip? Where do you want to go? What do you want to bring?
