Nobody usually gets off work or school for Valentine's Day.

While named for a Catholic Saint, Valentine's Day is not a Christian holiday.

When  preschool or elementary school kids go to school, they often make or buy (a big pack of)

little paper valentines for everyone in their classes.  Some children will add lollipops.  

Many children will wear red and/or hearts.
