After some thought about Sun Hwa's question, I want to say that the difference between anyone and someone is NOT the same as the difference between some and any. Someone is a specific person that I don't name, while anyone means one person, but it doesn't matter who the person is. It is also more common to use anyone as the object of a negative statement, and to use someone as the subject of a positive statement.
